My PC is too slow I need some help !!!!?

Hey I would be grateful if someone helps me fix my pc ..... here's the problem became very slow lately I have this problem since the last 8 months: S 1 - is Pentium 4 3.2GHz 1MB cache .... 1 GB of RAM 256 MB .... VGA Geforce 8400 GS ... and Mother Board Gigabyte 2-I am using Windows XP Sp2 geniune 3-i am using Kaspersky 8.0.0.357 geniune 4-i do not have a lot of applications on the PC are all normal people, as a messenger, frostwire, MS Office, Mozilla Firefox, etc. .. 5 - i never set games in the operating system partition 6 - got tired of defragmenting more than once in July-I always cleaning my hard disk through disk utility clean-8-I always get rid of temporary Internet files. 9 - i clear my PC hardware using monthly air fan. said all the information I can give u hope u can help me
