What is so bad about Dodge, Chrysler and Plymouth? What should I expect if I buy one of these?

I'm trying to find a used car, and everyone keeps telling me to stay away from them. I had a Dodge Shadow for 5 years without any problems-til it was wrecked.

It's not that all dodges are bad cars. But they kinda get a bad rap because of how they look, and drive. saying all this i would stay away from an Intrepid. I am a mechanic and have friends that work in a Dodge dealership and it seems there is always a late 90's intrepid in there with an dengie out of it. But I believe a neon is a good car. But be aware the resale on these cars is not very good. So know what the car you are buying is worth and I would pay a little less than even that for one.
