Installing OEM Navigation System in 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix?

I am attempting to install OEM nav system in my '04 GP, and the dealer seems to be having just as much trouble as I am at getting this thing figured out. I want the OEM version so that I can use the steering wheel controls and the OnStar features, plus it just looks so much cleaner and appealing versus an aftermarket. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
When I say OEM navigation system, i mean the one that some Grand Prixs come stock with, it was introduced in 2005 and is independent of the OnStar system. If you view the current Grand Prix on the pontiac website (http://www.pontiac.com), you can see it is an option, and see the car with it installed. I obtained the unit from a totaled car.

OEM navigation, I don't remember that. You do have OnStar and this is more and above it? Do you have a site I can look at? If I had some more info I will try to help you out.

If it is OEM and functions with the OnStar, it should be a plug in type installation. OnStar has GPS so I am guessing you want the monitor. Also, if it is OEM and functions with the OnStar, you will have to subscribe to OnStar for it to be activated.
