i have a Murray model #40627D that wont crank when i turn the key?

i've installed a new selinoid,new ignition switch still wont crank. & yes the battery is new.could it be the safty switch under the seat? If so can i cut and splice the wires to bypass the switch all together?

Yes it could and yes you can . First try a good rap on the starter housing with the key enguaged to illicit a response from the starter! Brushes and armatures naturally separate with abusive inaction(through the course of dormantcie of winter) and are woke up with a hard wrap to shed fuzz from water swelling!
