What is the object of a wiring harness on a 2004 Yamaha R6 and is necessary for the bike run or work?

I think buying a Yamaha R6 2004 and need a wiring harness. I was wondering if it has an effect that will have the advantage of running ability and effects. I also wonder how difficult it is to install wiring on the bike. Also curious what the purpose of the wiring harness?

The harness holds that blocks what would otherwise be loose son. Basically make sure that the cables will not become a huge bird's nest tangle. They provide Also extra insulation against short circuits, humidity, vibration, etc. In theory, yes, a motorcycle can run without. But wiring would be a disaster.
